Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
Which OS are you using? In Vista and Windows 7, the Program Files folder is protected territory and generally will not allow anything written back to the application folders. It creates and accesses a virtual storage elsewhere on your drive. I am not familiar with its location. Perhaps someone else with the knowledge could shed some more light.
no can't find it. LOL I normally do a rendered png and drop it in the folder with the prop. I never used vista for more than a couple of month so I haven't had this happen before. LOL I upgraded to Win 7 when it came out. the very day. so I wouldn't have to mess with vista and poser items. LOL
The prop is in the library inside poser, but no where to be found so I can zip it.
When you go to the folder where you expected them to be, look up in the title bar of the window for a little icon for compatibility files. That will take you to the secret place. Just hover the mouse over each icon in the window title bar to see each icon's name.
I think I have a screenshot in my Photobucket; looking for it now.
Poser 12, in feet.

Ok I just modeled a prop and imported it into poser 8. textured it, displacement mapped it and saved it to the prop library of poser 7, where all my other stuff is. Now I go to the folder using windows explorer and it isn't there. I do a search for it and it don't turn up in the search. I reopen poser 8 and there it is right where it is supposed to be.
Anyone have a clue where the file is? LOL
