Would this be regarded as a "Light & Frame" kind of challenge?

Yes - that would be a good description! This is the 22nd challenge and you can still get the models from all of them at http://www.3drender.com/challenges/index.htm

Thank you, Peggy!
I had a chat with someone a while back about resurrecting the in-house one. I wonder if there is any appetite for it atm?

I always start out with great intentions, but so far have never finished one of the challenges. Plus, CGTalk can be a bit overwhelming.
Having the challenge here between just Vue users would be a great idea.

New lighting challenge over at CGTalk. This challenge features an artist's studio, modeled by Giorgio Luciano.

The mesh needs a bit of work :)
I downloaded the .obj version and managed to crash Max trying to load it! the FBX version worked better though.
I really wish the modeller had named stuff as he was building it though. Still, it's good practice

This challenge features a carnival scene.
Even if you do not enter the challenge, it's a great idea to view the posts. It is amazing to view all the different camera angles, materials, and of course the lighting used on the model.
