I'm talking about the Alyson and Ryan figures. Are those figures copyrighted or Royalty free?
If not where can I find Generic human figures not the mannequins that come installed with the software but Generic Human figures that are free of copyright.

Poser Pro includes a male and female figure that may be used as the basis of your own designs. You may also like to check out:-

 Thank you PhilC.
I wish I had gotten Poser Pro instead but I guess I was all caught up in the excitement of Poser 8 without knowing everything about it. I was became familiar with Poser because I used a Poser 7 demo.
I mostly use Poser to help assist me in figure drawing.
I guess the only course of action would be to buy those human artist mannequins from Blick Art Store and use them as a basis for creating generic human figures I can modify at will.
I appreciate your insight PhilC. For now on when I purchase software I'll be sure to ask longtime users that way I'll know what to expect.

Since you appear to have Poser 8 take a look in the P8 Content Figure Library. Sixus 1's ProjectHuman models are there under the CP Partners tab. Male and female.
Hope this helps.

U'm, what about using poser figures as a basis for drawings requires them to be copyright free? Just about every figure in the Poserverse (I know for sure the DAZ ones, at least) allow you to use the renders however you want. You can sell them for big bucks, you can make porno movies with them, you can print them out and turn them into collages. Whatever. What you can't do is distribute the actual 3D meshes (the .cr and .obj files.)
