Subject: Is there a way to make a mask out of figures face and save it as a prop?

CStrauss ( ) posted Wed, 17 February 2010 at 1:19 AM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 6:12 PM

I been looking for just a plan expresion mask I can texture myself and havent found one I like so far searching the net. My question is there a way to like load a figure then hide all the body parts except the head then save the head out as a prop then just create the mask texture I want for it?

Or if any one seen a mask like I am discribing post a link please.

Thanks

Yes ... First, select the head and then ...
You can use the Grouping Tool to make a New Group ...
(named "mask" or whatever you want to call it)
... and then select the polygons you want to include in the "mask"...
... and then click the "Create prop" button and ...

Walla !!! ... You have a "mask" prop. (object).

Site Admin Online Now!

What the doctor said is probably the quickest and easiest way to make a prop within poser.
There is also a pair of Happy/Sad theatre masks by Kattey here in Freestuff which also have morphs I believe.

If you would also like making your own in Poser here's a tutorial which may be useful.  It's basically the steps outlined by Dr Geep above but with pictures :)

Doc I always knew you were a groupie
But I am going to have to figure that one out myself... opening poser every morning and deleting a prop to remove your whiskers has to be way faster then a can of burma shave and a razor!

On a serious note, what would we do without you and your bag of poser tricks?
