I can't seem to properly import and axe head I created in MAX into poser. I have tryed making it in different ways but still the edges go funny in Poser. Anybody have any ideas? I have included a screen print from MAX and a print of the document window in Poser (Upper Right in image).

What is the problem? The only problem I can see is with your mesh. Look at your mesh and then look at your poser render, do you see what i mean? Get your mesh more uniform and you wont have these problems. Start with a spline of one side of the blade. keep your faces as regular as posible and then mirror and the add the center cylinder.

poser will often screw up object edges that are supposed to be sharp. it will try to smooth or deform them, so you may get artifacts like you see there. one fix is to run it thru UVMapper and split vertices prior to exporting. but you may also have to do more subdivision after you convert it to a vertex object in Max.

The split vertices worked.
