Subject: making custom material groups in Poser8

 the button to create a material file or material collection seems to be gone...any one know hpow this is done in poser8?

Are you in the Material Room? You need to be, it doesn't work in the Pose Room.

Exactly as cspear mentioned plus you should have a folder selected.

Grrrr Okay this was a case of Poser 8 being buggy and the button just not populating cause I was in the materials room and on the folder and the button just  wasn't showing but I just woke up and started poser 8 up again and it was fine

I'm not saying one way or another, but a few times I had somebody claim they had a folder selected, and it turns out they were talking about a Pose folder, not a material folder.

So - there are three conditions:

You are in the material room.
You have the material category displayed in the library.
You have a folder or item selected in that category.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
