I guess we don't get the same TV ads in Canada. Too bad, the best part of television for me is the commercials. Once the reality TV craze happened I got rid of my TV, filled the space with a 30" computer monitor instead :)

Also OT, Andy Brown's Modo tutorials put me to sleep. They are very interesting, quite possibly the best tutorials I have ever viewed,  he knows how to describe not just the "what" but the "why" we are doing stuff, but his voice is just too soothing.

I ordered a video once and the guy was chain smoking through the whole thing, really aggrivating to say the least :P

 GeekAtPlay is a wonderful place to learn ... and yes the voice is so very soothing but well worth the extreme heavy caffine intake just before listening... :-)

BTW, those meerkat commercials are rather renowned here now.  We even get notice of when a new one is going to be aired !!

Yep, love those meerkat ads. Most "compare"  ads are bloody annoying. We turn the sound off when that opera singer comes on.
"Simple" is fast becoming a catch phrase.
As to Geekatplay, those tutes are fantastic, but on my lappy the sound is really quiet. Combine that with the accent and I have troulble hearing them.

Oh God yes, those Compare ads must be the most annoying ones at the moment - even overtaking Safestyle windows!

I've never had a problem with the volume of tutorials on my laptop.

Actually, I do rather like Vladimir's accent, and Artur's for that matter.  Anything that doesn't sound like Ozzy Ozborne on speed does it for me really   :lol:
