This site was posted on here a long time ago - i havent had a look to check but before it went down for a redesign it had a portfolio section with a lot of before and after rollover photos of celebs' photo retouches:
"In every colour, there's the light.
In every stone sleeps a crystal.
Remember the Shaman, when he used to say:
Man is the dream of the Dolphin"

I can't say I like the postprocessing on those pictures. Looks way too plastic.

My retouch skills are fairly poor. It is neat to see it well done but folks someday learn the real people are not retouched...not the ones you live with and love like they are. Well, we do try to look better and firm up a bit here and there. Some of us actually clean up quite well...but it is still us an no magic brushes.
For most advertising purposes, a better look is preferred by me than a totally realistic one.
Never trust a magazine cover!!! LOL.
FYI, there is a program I played with a while back called Portrait Professional that does some amazing stuff with just a few clicks and some sliders.

They have a free trial that leaves a watermark. Pretty fun to play with it for sure.

I've seen a lot of retouching, but I was pretty amazed by the amount done here. I just thought I'd share.Kort Kramer - Kramer Kreations
