Subject: Accessing downloaded content

Sorry for the noob question, but...

So I've downloaded a few free figures with clothing and I think they come with poses, I can;t find in the Poser manual how to actually pull this info up as a grouping... I've copied over all the directories to the "runtime" are (i.e. libraries, textures ...etc)... I can navigate using "open" to pull up the .obj files and display the bare figures...

Is there a way to pull up the person clothed, or do I need to dress them separately and then save them to the library? Is there anyway to access the new stuff from the library side panel palette?

Thanks,

Vanz

Which version of Poser are you using?

If the content is transferred exactly as where it belongs, then opening the corresponding folder under the Figures Category will reveal your model.  However, you have not provided very much detail about what your content contains.  Maybe a little more information.

You shouldn't need to pull up the .obj files.  You load the characters from the Figures library pallette.  If the characters aren't clothed, you will need to add clothing, conform them to the figure and then save out to the Figure library pallette again.

Edit - oops. hborre, cross post.  LOL

That is a texture package for "Warrior for V4 Outfit".  You have to have that outfit and V4 to put it on first.  Both of those will be in different folders under "Figures"

Yes.  You go to your Figures tab to load the figures.

Do you have V4?  You need to look at the product requirements before you purchase things.  This product is an add-on texture package for a different product by Adam Thwaites.  You would need that, as well as V4 and her morphs package.

If you look on the product page, about half way down I have provided links to the products you would need for the texture package to work.

Textures packs like this just change how the base product looks, just adds versatility to the mesh. A really good example of this is the MFD from DAZ3d, the base product is just a basic dress, but with different texture packs it can be anything from evening wear to a fantasy outfit - just look at the accessory link for examples.
