Subject: Creating or rendering a silhouette in Poser

Dear Artists, I have a serious question here,  is there an easier way of creating a silhouette in Poser with out the back ground, I know years ago I did it using a background wallpaper I created this time around I want to create a silhouette and save as a PNG file with out the background. Also I want to make sure I do this with all or any figure I choose, even the poses too.

 Any thoughts, advice or help issued I appreciate it.

Wouldn't changing the model completely black suffice?  You may need to adjust your lighting, perhaps eliminating any specular or highlighting to give you a more even look.

Just turn off all lights and render, save as png

Unless your model has materials on it that glow, all you have to do is turn off all your lights. Then render and save as PNG.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

OR ..................... Just use the Document Display Style for "Silhouette." No? :huh:

Set the Foreground color to BLACK and Walla !!! 👍

Setting the Document Display Style only affects the preview, but the figure will render as normal.

wait a sec.  i'm almost positive i did an animation ages ago that had transparency and used the preview render. outlined silhouette.  yep, just double checked and i hadn't thrown it out like i thought (terrible, terrible work).  i'm pretty sure you can get it to render preview and render transparency.

yeah, prev. can be anti-aliased and it don't matter if lites are on in some cases, but mere details.
I dunno if OP wants trans. feather-edges in silh.

I just tried it for something to do and I can verify Dr Geeps method, it renders trans hair in Silhouette just fine for me. Also I checked anti ailias in the preview render settings and that seems ok too.
