Subject: Poser 4 and Windows 7

Sorry to post this question because I know that it may sound a bit "out of time".

I' m still using Poser 4 and have installed it to a new PC with windows 7.
When I only install the basic program, it works fine, but when I also install the 4.03 update, I can' t see the figure in the window document.

I have the original program and recently update the graphics card drivers.

Is Poser 4 (updated) incompatible with windows 7 ?

Thanks for any help.

Poser 4? Wow!!

If you find the Poser 4 .exe and right-click on it, you should see the option: 'troubleshoot compatibility'. Try running it through that: if it doesn't work, you're probably out of luck.

Thanks for your fast reply.

I will try the troubleshoot compatibility option.

I havent' t heard before about the Mem update for poser 4. Is it different from 4.03 update ?

cspear, thankyou very much for your help.
Running the poser.exe with the "troubleshoot compatibility" option solve the problem.

Strange things happen with Poser, I just have the opposite problem.
I used Poser 4.01 and worked fine with Windows 95, 98 and XP for ten years. When I changed to XP64 Poser refused to run giving an out of memory message, updated to version 4.03 (no memory update) and Poser returned to work normally. Next applied the memory update and Poser continued to run without problems.

Stupidity also evolves!
