Subject: 3ds import problem with bryce 6.3

I treid to import a 3ds model into Bryce 6.3 and got a message  " an error occured ( i/0 bad media) message. I'm confused because the same model imported into Bryce 6.0 without a problejm. Does anyone know to fix this or is this a bug in 6.3 Thx

 I've not had that problem...As you own 6.3 have you signed up fro the BETA and tried it in Bryce7BETA?.. ...

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

Mac? .3ds Import/Export  is broken in Mac B6.x and B7.x. Number of bugs filed on this but still not fixed.

 Ah Right Dan...never thought of mac being a pc guy.. ...

 

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

Ya its a mac. If its a bug hopefully they will fix it with Bryce 7?

Sometimes you can get around these by importing into blender and exporting as something else like obj.

 Or use PoseRay, another free app that makes a very stable .obj. It also has a fairly rudimentary U/V mapping editor which is handy if you use maps as much as i do.. ...
