Subject: Carrara 7 Pro DSA

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. After installing DAZ Studio Advanced, I cannot open anything in my Carrara 7 Pro from DAZ. Any DAZ content I try to load into Carrara nothing comes into the scene. Before installing DSA I had absolutely no problems with content from DS 2. This has really screwed up my whole week trying to figure this out. Any ideas? Thanks much.

Namaste;-)

Can you build things in Carrara, export as an .obj group and import that object group back into Carrara and can you import that .obj group into DSA?.  Jan

Thanks Plutom for the reply.
Yes of course. Not a problem. It's just the runtime content that I had in Carrara before I installed DSA that can't be loaded. And it all started when I installed DSA.

Try re-linking to the runtime files. Sometimes updates and upgrades break the link, even though the name of the file still appears where it should.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean, SP. I tried reloading some of the runtimes into Carrara but no go. Then I uninstalled Carrara, re-downloaded it and installed it again but to no avail.

In the browser window, that little triangle that you click to add runtimes, tell it to add a folder and point it to the DS runtime, even if that already shows by name on your browser menu.
I have to do this whenever I add any presets, even though they were added to files that are in the browser's list.

OK. I did that, but it only shows the highlighted ADD RUNTIME and not ADD FOLDER. Thanks for trying, SP. Appreciate it;-)
