Subject: Comet - Up close and personal.

I am beginning on a journey of exploration into Vue 8 Complete, and one of my foremost hopes is to do a comet and its tail for medium and close renders.  The tail having meteors and dust and such particle matter that trail behind it so I can do shots of a spaceship near it.

So, while I doodle along, if you have suggestions, I would welcome your input.  I will be posting here as I work.

Thank you in advance, Teque

First doodle, just a rough 2d pic to sort of gather my thoughts ... a more complex and larger tail than that, obviously.  Cloudy stuff over the comet itself and as outer edge of tail.

Been thinking of doing the cloudy dust particles as a series of ribbons instead of a "hood" arrangement.  The debris field may be split up into several sections of an enlongated cone.  Still goofing off with this in my thinker.  Feel free to comment if you have any ideas.  This is my first project of this type and it is a little daunting. :)
