I haven't posted for well over a month; 'we are not smart' Pakled overwrote a completed database with an older one about half done, and lost 8,000 records. Slowly I'm putting it back together, so I can find the zillions of things stuck into the Runtime. We are not amused with ourself...;)

slinger, you're the first responder to in any way reference the point of my parody. I was kind of surprised at the lack of reaction to that.
I posted because somebody had announced that they uploaded an image to their gallery. Nobody responded to that in any way. I expected some response to that post. So I announced that I had not uploaded an image, just to see what would happen.
Apparently, this forum is pretty tolerant of noise.
Okeedokee. I would also like to announce:
- I ate some food recently
- Read some stuff on this forum
- Did some test renders that I have no intention of showing anybody, nor telling you what I learned

SO, it pays to advertise, even if a lot of people remain silent about it.
Those who did comment do seem to enjoy the ongoing story, and I hope to eventually work it into a graphic novel. BTW, all the clothing textures in my renders are variations of your Matmatic shaders, for which I am indeed very grateful! -Also for the wineglass in the guy's hand is yours too! So, DO indeed keep up your good work. You do with shaders what I pretend to do with UV maps.

David, you're so f'ing confused. It was not a reference to you at all. Kaibach was not saying anything about your words. He was saying the post in question had nothing to do with you. You did not make an "announcement" that you'd uploaded an image to your gallery. In saying so, he was trying to explain to you that your post didn't meet the description I gave.
The post that triggered me was one in which an individual simply announced he had uploaded an image to his gallery. There was nothing informative about it, or demonstrative as to what can be accomplished, like your posts.
This was an individual who simply wanted to advertise that he'd made an image.
Imagine if all of us did that every time we uploaded an image.
It was basically a "hey - look at me" post.
