Dear Friend:

I am an owner of Poser 5 and Poser 7. Please....

How can I use the magnet tool of Poser to edit my Cinema 4D imported characters into Poser?

Thanks.

Fidelity2.

If you import your Cinema 4D characters as .objs.  The magnet can modify portions of each character.

However, you must be familiar with what each portion of a magnet does (there are three)

The magnet base (small rectangular object), the magnet (horseshoe), and the mag zone (the circle.

The rules: when the horseshoe is in contact with the base, nothing happens, when you move it away from the base, it drags a portion of the object with it.

The mag zone determines how much of the object is moved.  For example, if you make the circle small, a small portion of the object moves, if you make it larger more of the object moves.

If you move the circle notice the effect it has on the object (the further you move the circle away from the object , the less effect it has and vice versa.

 Dear Friend:

I imported a character into Poser 5 from C4D XL 9.1.

My question is as follows:

How do I apply a morphed smile to this C4D character to animate it in Poser 5?

(I.e. I want to animate this character in Poser 5 created in C4D XL 9.1. via Poser 5 morphings.)

Sincerely,

Fidelity2.

P.S. I am looking to again buy an item from Maxon. So, I hope you colud be nice.

Morphing the face is fairly easy. Be sure to work on the HEAD only, (without the eyes or any other "loose" groups) then import the morphed face as a morph target into Poser.

Dr. Geep has a tutorial here that explains how morph targets work: http://www.drgeep.com/p4/mt/mt.htm

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
