Saw it in 3D and loved it.

I wish I could render a Single frame that looks as stunning as what I saw.

Let me know what you think.

The Geek side of me, was thinking... wow look at that Lighting or Look at the Particle System, or I wonder how long it took to render each frame. :)

render times.. long time, probably. Cg society will probably have an article soon, unless it's there and I haven't read up on it. (they've got one on green zone).

Analog..it was pretty cool. Forget the story..lots of swashbuckling dragon slaying and humour..and the story based for kids.. though the language for the kid in an adult. (or maybe I've been brought up with enid blyton and harry potter seems too grown up)

this is one 3d movie my tummy did feel rather floosy in the middle of all the dragon flying. Lighting..wow. I loved it why they flew up in the sky the first time, .  The textures were amazing.. and yup.. the water. .. I loved the water render. and the clouds. those two would kill the machines they were rendered on.. I like the texture of the dragon.. it seems such a trivial thing..but I swear..you could feel the leathery skin if you reached out. Every texture seemed to be precise.. even those stairs to the bedroom. My geek side was looking at the textures. imdb's website has a few pix in progress ..if you pop onto their site and look at the pix of the movie. You'll feel you can do that in bryce..the ones they show you without the textures, but you know that's not so possible.

Yeah with these type of movies,  I try to keep in mind that its made for kids, I just have fun watching the art of the CG and respect the talent that went into making it.

For example, notice all the adults had accents but the kids didnt, and the kids dialogues were not correct for the period of the time the movie was set in :)  But I just ignore all that stuff and enjoy it.
