Subject: Does Poser 2010 support and use CUDA !,

hi !

i have Poser2010 and a quadro nvidia cuda video card capable.

I wonder if Poser can use Cuda to render more faster .

I can't find any info about that, does anybody know ?

not at the moment.
the only CUDA support I know of is Octane Render and a few upcoming render engines in development..

poser for the time being is not one of them :(

even not poser pro 2010 ?

will it be in a release/service pack ?

We probably won't see Cuda support before Poser Pro 2012 or whatever the next version will be called.

It would be nice though.

3DCoat has a CUDA version, but I don't think Poser does.

I have the impression they have to rewrite a bunch of stuff to use the GPU. I wouldn't expect Poser to be a pioneer in this

It's not the tool used, it's the tool using it

In the meanwhile, you can export your Poser scene as a single OBJ, and load it into Octane, adjust materials as needed, and enjoy the nice, fast render :)
