i'm a little new with poser, so far i've been using it to conform clothing for DS. the problem i come across is, no matter how i make them, pants and boots simply wont conform correctly. when i model the boots, the Imported Character model is posed one way, and then another way in the 3d program, so the boots won't conform to it. can anyone help me please?

You need to model around the figure in its zero pose. So either use the joint editor to do this or uncompress the obj files and grab the original obj file from the geometry or libraries:character folder.
There is also this tutorial which explains everything!
