For the first one :apply material to your terrain
After:: edit objet and apply another material(second one)with add button
Thats the manner i have understanded it
Version 8,5 is supposed to have possibility to apply more materials in terrain editor
This feature is probably one of the reasons why i will (maybe via maintenance plan) probably buy it
If you use a work-around you can (sort of) paint multiple materials in the terrain editor (works for 7.4 also). Step 1: Paint with the two mixed materials till it looks as desired. Step 2: Copy this material, and make a new mixed material with the step-1 material as the first and load a new material as the second. Reset the (painted) distribution map for this new "round" of painting, and paint a new one in the terrain editor. Step 3: Repeat step 2 until you get what you want, memory, or you system runs out of memory :)

I finally bought 8,5 and try multiple materials inside terrain editor
For now it working ok :i can add and brush with many material inside terrain editor with limitation (mixed ones) But when we arrive to main display the materials is not displaying or only one or very badly displaying
Someone using 8,5 have a better experience??
Thanks

Is the 8.4 full update supposed to allow me to paint more than one material on in the terrain editor? The Add button gets grayed out after I add one material.
