Subject: Poser 7 Display Refresh very slow

drackliffe ( ) posted Sat, 22 May 2010 at 3:32 PM · edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 4:08 AM

Just installed poser 7 after having poser 6 for a while.

Poser 6 is still fine but poser 7 display changes very slowly.  I click on a part of the figure and several seconds go by before the part is displayed as selected.   I'm sure I haven't set up my video setting correctly but don't know what to look for and how to do it.

Any help would be great.

For starters, if your computer doesn't do OpenGL very well, change the view to Sreed. Right click inside the render window to change this.

I had to upgrade my display driver when I went from 6 to 7. Which one do you have, Drackliffe?

Monterey/Mint21.x/Win10 - Blender3.x - PP11.3(cm) - Musescore3.6.2

I'm wondering if it's the ATI bug again...

here's the fix for that.

*aah ATI?

have you tried the ATI drivers fix?

edit the poser.ini file located in C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataPoser 7poser.ini and change

PREVIEW_OGL_OBJECT_BBOXPICKING 0

to

PREVIEW_OGL_OBJECT_BBOXPICKING 1*

Thanks for all the advise.  Looks like changing to SreeD did it.  I will probably be upgrading the Video card soon too.

Thanks again for all the help.  Happy Posing
