Im using a Bamboo Pen tablet with PS and when im trying to use the brushes 9 times out of 10, whether im trying to draw soft or hard, fast or slow, light or strong, its popping open the Brushes menu. This is amazingly frustrating. Any way to tell either PS or the pen that opening menus is above its paygrade? If I want one open, ill open it.

I don't have a Bamboo but I do have a Graphire. The lower button on my pen does a right click. When using a brush in PS a right click will open up the brush menu. Does the Bamboo pen have this right click button on the pen and is it possible you are touching it when drawing?

it does, however it has an option to disable it, so i did. So, as it stands, the button now does nothing. I had thought the same thing, maybe im hitting the button, but after disabling it and after more usage I can see its not the button. ..it is driving me crazy tho, so hard to draw precisely when it does this

HUZZAH! Problem fixed, I called Wacom. For anyone else having this issue, the setting you want is not in PS nor is it in the wacom properties, but instead in windows 7 control panel! Under "pen and touch' you'll find settings for this. the third one down, "press and hold" --choose it, go to its settings, and disable it.

That's great. Although it wasn't a problem for me it's good to know. Learn something new everyday. That would be "Pen and Input Devices" in the control panel on Vista.
