Well this question must have been asked a lot but i searched and i am confused.

So i now have poser 6 with a big runtime, i have read posts here that one can link the old poser runtime to the new one of poser pro 2010.

How does one do that?

Near the top of the Library window you'll see a small folder icon with a + & a running man click that, then navigate to the runtime folder in the little window that pops up, hit ok & you're all done.

Windows 7 64Bit
Poser Pro 2010 SR1

Or use the script in PoserPro 2010 to automatically scan your HD for additional runtime folders.
