She was next on my list of faces to be inspired by, but something stopped me, dunno what. I may take a shot at it soon, because she really is beautiful.

Thank you Khrys.  I hope you will consider modelling V4 after Ziyi Zhang.  I'm still in awe whenever I render Aki, Yue, Jie Jie, and Xiao Xiao.  Their eyes are simply beautiful.  Your accurate modelling of their epicanthic folds requires exceptional sculpting skills in addition to keen observation of the Asian face and an infinite amount of patience.

... I just made my fiancee hold really still for a while. ;) Sadly, I don't think I could make M4 or V4 as pretty as he is. Some of that's just emotion, but some of it's just him being freaking gorgeous. >.>

More reference photos: gorgeous model Jarah Mariano.  Note her beautiful epicanthic folds above her upper eyelids.

Here's a quick attempt at making a Zhang Ziyi looking beauty. She's still a WiP, but I like her overall look right now. :)

Your character is lovely.  Her features have some of the Zhang Ziyi look.  I can't wait to see the finished product.  Thanks Khrys.

Here's a render of a new character I have been working on for the last month or so. She is just about finished, just have to fine tune the textures.

Bringing up an old thread, I've released 2 new Asian characters now. My newest, Tessen draws heavily from Maggie Q though I still took some liberties (one of which is that Maggie Q's upper lip is actually thicker than the lower). Hopefully they will be enjoyed :)

Here's a photo of beautiful actress Lin Chi-Ling.  Her upper eyelid folds also remain visible even though they do gradually recede into the inner corner of the eye.

I'm snagging this picture.  I haven't done an Asian character since Asami for Miki 2 and that was next on my list to try.  The reference images you have here are invaluable.  When I did Kupua I used a former Miss Hawaii's features as a base to create the character because I did not want to offend anyone or create a "caricature" or stereotype.

I'll add to this that my Asami is in the process of being re-worked for V4. She was quite popular already so a V4 version was requested.

Despite someone from this post using the name on a new release I won't be changing the name as she is a re-working of my already existing Asami which I commented on in this thread.

She will however have to contain my 3DA prefix when finished.

3DArena,

I am sorry about the naming of myy newest release, being the same as a model you are working on. I didn't even realize that you had already choosen the name to use already or I would have used a different name. When choosing to use the name "Asami" I did a marketplace search to make sure that it wasn't previously used, and the search turned up with nothing. Once again I am sorry if I might have step on your toes with the naming of my new product. In the future I will more mindful, as to not overlook and miss if a name is being yet.

Actually the character with that name did already exist, but not at Rendo.  As I stated previously in this thread Asami was for Miki2.  Before I named her that I searched Rendo, CP, RDNA and DAZ to get a unique name, as I usually do.  I was re-using her name for a V4 version, I'll still be doing that.
