Subject: OT: Does Poser Fashion reflect the High Street Fashions of the Day?

Fugazi1968 ( ) posted Mon, 14 June 2010 at 11:29 AM · edited Tue, 22 October 2024 at 12:47 PM

Of course I'm not talking about the fantasy/sci-fi stuff thats about.  But do normal type outfits in the marketplace tend to reflect the current rw fashion trends?

I'm guessing that even the sci-fi/fantasy stuff follows certain trends from out there in the RW.  Depending on what is popular at the time.

Or are there not enough normal items to be able to tell?

Not enough of the the Tokyo / Seoul / Shanghai ladies street fashion, I'm afraid.

And sorry to say that young men's styles for the same, are non-existent.

Content Advisory! This message contains nudity

Not sure if Western high street fashion is anywhere near "normal"...

Clearly not intended for actual female humans to wear.

I agree with Infinity that Japanese / Korean / Taiwanese "street styles" would be
a nice addition.  For instance, Seoul style:

@ ockham I've added the nudity advisory to your post since the top header (second link) has nudity. :)

Western high street fashion would be neat for Poser tho. :)

OutofTouch and Bice's High Fashion series is a very good rendition of western fashion trends. Thorne and Mada's Frapagini dress over at DAZ is straight out of the Victoria's Secret catalog. So alot of the casual outfits that are out now are actually on trend with the young crowd 18 to 26yrs.

Hmmm this thread is not masquerading the "need more normal casual clothes" debate is it? That my friends is a loosing effort. Maybe 25% of the poser "causal" stuff made actually reflects anything worn by real people. But of course I'll just sit back with me tea and read from those posting later and watch 25% get blown out of the water then I will just smile.

Poser fashion is hyper-real.  The string outfits and the figures themselves defy gravity.  No one would buy it if it was common style clothing.  Sex sells.

It really depends on where you are I suppose, I always enjoy the normal where I find it some of the outfits where as they are neat are not my personal ideal of normal, but my idea of normal may be different than someone located elsewhere.

Hollywood normal may not be Utah normal, which isnt the same as Vegas or Baton Rouge normal.
