Hi,

Has something changed in the coupon mailings? I have seen talk of 3 different coupons in the past few weeks, and have gotten none of them. I do get bots for forum posts, calendar, etc., and I get the regular "Top Selling Products" amils, but I seem to be missing the coupon mails.

Can you give me the address they come from, and is it a different server or anything like that? My ISP does have a spam filter that occasionally gets overly enthusiastic, but I had previously given them all the mailings to be allowed. If it has changed, i'll need to contact them on Monday, as I cannot control it from my own pc.

The coupon broadcasts come from the same email as the regular newsletter which is <newsletter@postoffice.renderosity.com>.

The coupon code that is valid right now is 20100612B15P25  6/12/10-6/14/10, 15% off $25 minimum purchase

Stacey, I called and they didn't have these mails in the spam filter.

The person at my ISP said that a few weeks ago, there was a power outage on that server (lasted several days, and I got no mail during that time). He indicated that what may have happened is that the mail was returned to sender, and perhaps at your server my name was then removed from the list.

My problem now is, I'm trying to find a place to sign up for the newsletters again, but I can't find it.  If this is something that happens automatically with registration, can you look to see if my email got blocked, and check it? I'm getting everything except the coupons, btw, and they do seem to be on a different address, perhaps even a different server.

Thanks for looking into this. I love coupons and I hate mising them!

I checked and it seems you are set up to receive promotions (coupons) and your email address isn't bouncing so not sure what might have happened then but all looks good on our end.

I'm gonna ask one more question to the person that sends out the coupons just to be sure that they do indeed go out from the exact same "from" as the weekly newsletter...I'm 99.9% sure they do but I want to be positive nothing has changed. That is what is so strange about it, that you would get the weekly newsletter but not the coupons because the exact same setting is used for both and they go out from the exact same email tool.

Okay, hold on a sec - I just went back to see, and what I was assuming thinking of as the newsletter is the "Top Selling Produts" mail, which is not actually the same as the weekly newsletter.

I just checked my emails and tha last actual Newsletter I got was on May 19.

The last coupon mailing I got was on May 5.

The  last Top Selling Products mail is June 12, no problem there.

All of them came from newsletter@postoffice.renderosity.com

I am, however, seeing one difference. At the top of each mail, it shows the Subject lline, the From line and a Reply To line. the From line is the same in all, as written above. The Reply to line is different in the newsletters than in the others. The newsletters have Reply To: newsletter@renderosity.com, whereas both the Top Products and the older coupons come from store@renderosity.com.

Which makes it all the more strange that I am getting Top Product mails but ot coupons or newsletters.

scratches head  I do thank you for looking into this, Stacey - not only for me, but for others who may have been lost in the shuffle. There has to be some reason behind it, and I would imagine that if it's happening to me, it could be happening to others.

Is there any place "on site" where we can at least see the current newsletter? I know coupons, unless advertised on the front page, are for email only, but I miss the newsletters, too, as they are always so beautifully put together, like a magazine cover. Actually, it would be nice to have a kind of archive for them - if not for the articles, at least for the cover art.

There is no archive of newsletters on the site that I'm aware of but I can forward you my copy so you can see it.

I'm still researching the issue. Did you add store@renderosity.com as a contact as well as the newsletter@renderosity.com ?

I was all set to use that 15% off $25 minimum purchase coupon, until I came to the site and it was hacked.  Now, the coupon is expired.  Oh well!

As far as my conversation with my ISP (where they have one main spam blocker that initially filters out things) any and all mail for the domain, renderosity.com, is in the allowed list for me. I've received mailings from store@ but as I mentioned, it's been about a month since I've received the newsletter@ mailings, which I believe is the one that the coupon comes from.

Hey, when I finished writing the above, I went to check my mail, and I have received the Renderosity Weekly Newsletter for June 16th.

So, unless you sent that directly, it looks like something is working. Either way, thanks so much!

Hi Stacey,

I just wanted to let you know, I received the coupon for this weekend! Yaaayy!!

Looks like everything is back in order. We may never kinow what the glitch was, but at least it's working now.

Thanks so much for investigating. I can't help but feel something you did helped in some way to get this working, even if it's just that the gremlins got nervous and backed off when you started snooping around. ;D

I really appreciate it!
