They've been having this offer (or one like it) for some time now, although I haven't kept track of the history. It was supposed to be one day only last time, and it was available for several - I took advantage of the offer myself. :)

I'm just starting to move over to P7 from P6 (which I loved), and so far I can say it's worth the effort. There's no major improvements, but my impression is that everything works a little better. So don't hang around if you're wanting to upgrade. 

Now, if they had a similar sale on Poser Pro, what excitement that would produce!

I am not sure they will ever put a huge sale on poser pro, as it will slow their poser pro 2010 sales. This poser 7 sale is an effective means for them of allowing people too see the beauty of their products and wanting to upgrade.

From my point of view, I have poser 7 and it's more than capable, so for most people is this a fantastic opportunity.

I do hope I am wrong and they put the sale on poser pro, as I would love 64 bit poser for sure!

I have Poser 8, and whilst there are some significant improvements over 7, I still use 7 as my workhorse version. Part of that is that it's a bit like Win XP: it's a known entity, I know what I'm dealing with, the failings and foibles are all pretty well not a mystery (and hence, less of a frustration) to me. Besides, there is still so much unexplored!!

I guess that's why I'm really chuffed over being able to get Photoshop CS3 recently on eBay at an incredible price... what an incredibly rich programme there!! Going to spending ages getting my head around it, so really, CS5? Who needs all that? I'm going to be ages just learning CS3.

Yes!  I was ready for the price to drop and then it disappeared from my cp wishlist.
