Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share with you something I have been working on with VUE and C4D. I have modelled my version of the Attack Helicopter from the film and have placed it into a couple of scenes created in VUE that look something like Pandora.

Nice work...maybe a close up shot of the ship some time in the future would show it off a wee bit better, but from the indistinct distance it looks pretty good

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Here is the final render of the craft. The craft used in the Vue shots was about 2 or 3 renders before this.

Hi,

Just wondering if you created the model entirely in Vue or if it was created in another program and imported into Vue as an OBJ? Any tips on how you got the details such as the rockets and other fine areas done would be nice to hear about.

It's a good model, looks really close to identical to me.

Thanks. This was my main reference image together with constantly looking at movie clips and trailers. Its not exact but I think its pretty close.

I modelled the craft in C4D and brought into Vue as a Collada DAE file. I found this was the best format that brought in the textures as well.
