Subject: background color problem

xpdev ( ) posted Thu, 01 July 2010 at 1:40 AM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 12:34 PM

I have a scene with only the V4 and nothing else, I can not understand how to set the background color and the floor to all white.

When I render and save the image, any color there is behind it, in the saved image is transparent ...

can you give me a little help?

thanks

I'm using Poser 8 and Win xp

I'm not at my PC right now but I think I remember the settings.

First of all the Ground plane is set up as a shadow catcher, so the only thing you should see on there is your figures shadow, the rest is transparent.  If you don't want the shadow to show up, select the Ground Prop, bring up it's property window and untick Visible.

Now if you select the color picker tool and point at the background of your scene you can select a color for your background.  Then in render settings on the right hand side is a dropdown, click on that and I think the option is "Use Current background Color".

Alternatively when you save your render, use the png format.  When you open the image in an editor you will see that the background color is transparent, so you can add whichever color you want.

That command is found in the upper right-hand side of your render settings window.  If you still can't find it, request again, we'll put up a screencap.  Also, exporting your image as a jpeg will retain the background color.

Ok, i have found the command.

I have changed the BKG color to red, check the command, rendered, but when i save the rendered image the bkc color is always transparent, not red.

What about ???

If you save in PNG it depends on the image viewer how you see the background. Many display it as white or transparent.
Try saving it to JPG and see if you get the background color in your image viewer (but you loose the transparency layer)
