Subject: Ryan Beard Prop?

Hi, guys.

I'm trying to use the P8/Pro 2010 Ryan Beard Prop for a tutorial, but try as hard as I might, I can't assign Hair Growth Groups to it. I get as far as naming the groups, but when I try to use the Group Editor tool to select the polygons I want, the tool just simply won't select any.

Selecting the new name of the groups I assign will select the entire beard prop when I then click on it, but the Deselect Polygon tool won't work either.

I could just apply Growth Groups to Ryan's head, which I'll probably end up doing, but I thought the various hair props supplied for Ryan would make it easy to apply hair in the required places.

HELP! (The deadline is getting closer)

Sorry to push this up guys, but this getting really frustrating. The Group Editor in the Hair Room doesn't seem to be working at all.

I'm trying to select polygons for the Hair Groups, but nothing happens. What's more frustrating is that I rehearsed these actions prior to recording them, and they worked fine. Now, however, the Group Editor appears to be broken. I've even re-installed Poser, but the problem is still there.

I may have to make a very expensive Trans-Atlantic call to Smith Micro tonight!

I've had problems with the group editor in the hair room and the cloth room. It seems to be related to Open GL and switching to SreeD preview solved the problems.

Yes, that's it. Thanks, anyway. I've sussed it after a call to Smith Micro. My Nvidia GT220 doesn't seem to fully support the flavour of OpenGL that Smith Micro have programmed for. Updating the drivers didn't make any difference. Switching to SreeD did.

Maybe the Gurus here can elucidate- would an Nvidia Quadro video card make any difference to OpenGL support with Poser?
