Subject: loading saved vob problem

Jcleaver ( ) posted Fri, 09 July 2010 at 7:55 PM · edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 8:42 PM

I loaded a rather large prop from Poser, and then so i could use it again more easily I decided to save it as a vob.  It seemed to save OK, but whenever I try to load it, Vue 8.5 Infinite crashes.

I haven't actually done this since Vue Esprit 4; so i don't know if maybe it is a protection scheme to ensure Poser objects aren't shared.

Any ideas?

John

I've had to switch OpenGL to software mode in Vue's display options to get objects originating from Poser to load using builds newer than 47776.

I did try all modes of OpenGL, but to no avail.  However, I was able to load the prop into DAZ Studio, and then export it as a DAZ Collada file, and bring it into Vue and save as a vob that way.  (After fixing the reflectivity)

Thanks.
