We need your help! Check our Vue  video tutorials web site www.geekatplay.com and let me know if you will change something to make it better what it will be?

  • Tutorials
  • Layout
  • Serach ... you named.

Would you like to see them all posted on renderosity?

Thank you.

How could you possibly improve on perfection!  Well, if I had to mention something it would be a link to the finished/large JPG for each tutorial.  You already have this option for some of your tutorials, and it's so nice to be able to see them/refer to them as you go along.

As for posting them on Renderosity, I don't see any reason to double up as long as you keep posting them at Geek at Play.

Personally I think posting them here would be beneficial to the community and would be most welcome as the Geekatplay tutes are renowned for being the dog's whatsits...

I would suggest for future tutorials, that you include the materials and such in the tutorial package, instead of as an additonal thing to track down.

I enjoy your tutorials very much.

I would second that so everything is in one neat package to download. Also, I see no need in posting them here as most people know your web site and you have a book out too which helps. So keep the videos and info on your site for one place that is organized I think is best.

If you are asking about new tutorials or subjects, you have not done any that REALLY show how to make Poser/Daz figures look their best inside Vue by tweaking the materials, making the hair look as good as it does in Poser, etc. In general, a really good tutorial on optimizing Poser imports for best appearance.

Agreed. A direct link on page to a full package of the tutorial resources would be great.

I like your website very much. It provides a space that is specifically dedicated to turoials on mainly Vue but also related software such as Photoshop and Hexagon. I like the way that the tutorials are grouped and are easy to find. This is something that could get lost if it moves to a site such as Renderosity, but as mentioned above, it may make it more accessible to a greater number of people.

I agree with the above posts regarding the inclusion of materials etc into the tutorial packages, even if that probably would increase the cost of the DVDs. And links to the final images would be helpful as well.

One thing that I like about some of your latest tutorials is the "Complete Guide" approach. It compliments very well the project oriented approach that you have taken in the majority of your other tutorials. The two together really are very helpful.

As far as other topics, perhaps you can continue the "Complete Guide" approach by extending it into things such as the plant editors, the atmosphere editors etc. You have touched on these often in the project oriented tutorials, but at least for me a series of tutorials targeted at the various editiors would be very helpful.

I love your website, the only thing i can think can be improved is that a lot of tutorials rely on using the preview window which is all well and good for speed but not too good when we are trying to follow it, so maybe a quick flash to a full size render would be good?

Yes think that a Complete Guide to the the plant editor would be a really good thing.
