What format did you save the file to? PZ3?
Monterey/Mint21.x/Win10 - Blender3.x - PP11.3(cm) - Musescore3.6.2

A *.pmd file is a morph. You cannot "open" it. You can only inject it in a character (like Poser's own Sydney, Ryan etc.), it's usually saved if you save a character in a scene *.pz3 - but it stores the *.pmd flle separately usually in the same folder as the *.pz3 file. Except you unchecked in 'General Preferences'->Misc.->Save Files use external binary morph targets - then it's not saved.
And you cannot click on Poser files in Windows and open them with Poser, you will always have only the basic start. It's not like with *.jpg files.

I have a project that I've worked on and I wanted to access it again to try a new render format but I can't see the file in my "open" file list. But when I navigate to the area where I know the file is kept, I see it but the Poser icon that sits before it is gray and not red. When I double click on the file it opens Poser but just to the basic startup position of the blue skele, no file content. Since I can't get this file to open I am just going to have to file into the trash can by the looks of it. But I did not know what the gray Poser icon meant thought I'd throw it out there and learn something new :) Thanks for your time :)
