Handsome, pretty, handsome Dr.Smith!

Great animation, but the plot was a bit thin...

What can I say? I've always loved the Tech from Lost in Space. Always wanted my own Robot & Jupiter 2. I'll settle for digital for now. :tt2:

Wow does that bring back memories
I always thought the Jupiter was just like Dr, Who's Tardis, bigger on the inside than it was on the outside

It would have to be to fit in that lower level and another lower level for the engine room shown in one episode.

Hi Gang,

Thanks for the comments on my video.  Understand that the "Launch of the Jupiter 2"  was done for fun on my home computer.  I didn't have the time to do radiosity/GI or ambient occlusion.  So it's pretty straightforward MAX lighting.  As a result it's a bit cartoony.  But I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Yes, I was invited to be a part of the webseries which is in production right now.  Filming will be in North Carolina, though I am based in Minneapolis/St.Paul.  We just secured an additional writer from LA who has worked on shows such as Desperate Housewives and Dawson's Creek.  So this should be a fun show!

For the series, there will be a brand new Jupiter 2 that works both inside and outside.  For the last few weeks I've been busy working out all the details in the CG model.  There is now space for everything that the TV series showed, plus a few extra surprises.  Because the new CG ship will be the primary virtual set, the tolerances are very tight and accuracy is paramount.

Stay tuned!

Welcome to Renderosity Ron! Looking forward to the series!

Ron's work is absolutely amazing.  It was his Jupiter 2 that started me on building a Season 1 Jupiter 2 as accurately and detailed as possible.  Kind of got sidetracked on it as I am converting it to Poser right now for another project.

I can't wait to see how Ron is re-imagining  the Jupiter 2 for the web series!
