Subject: Steph 4 Hair Fits

Was wondering if there are any hair fit poses for Stephanie 4 ?

If you are using P8 or PoserPro 2010, it will not be necessary.  S4 is just V4 scaled down, any hair fit for V4 will work with S4 as long as you set scaling in the Parameter/Properties palette.

Thanks, hborre. Is there a standard scaling that would apply across all hair props ?

I would assume that would be the feature.  I haven't put S4 through her paces yet with hair pieces, but I did fit an old favorite of mine using the technique posted for P8.  AprilYSH's VayneBraid hair is an oldie and it fitted perfectly first time out.  An image link below:

The set scale also works well V4 clothing.

I'm pretty useless in the hair prop fitting department, so any assistance I can get would be very much appreciated.

For some hair rigs you're going to have problems. For those where all the hair is grouped in the "head" actor (typical for short cuts) it should just work if the hair was rigged exactly as V4, but some of the more complex ones probably need some adjustment - riggers typically didn't adjust scale parameters for all bones adjacent to the head, so for things like braids or ponytails you may need to go back to the vendor to get an update, or learn how to make this adjustment yourself.

Note if you're in Poser 8+, don't change any scale settings on the hair itself, just check the "Include scales" checkbox on the BODY of the hair figure, for conformers.  For prop hair, it should already be loading as a child of the Head, which should already include scale changes as the head is scaled, although it might need to be shifted around a bit.

For Hair Figures, D3D's free "Copy Scaling" python script does the trick for me

Where can I find it? has problems with hair and boots for steph4, for other clothes it look like it works well to just parent them to her first.

Can't recall exactly where it is,search for D3D or Dimension3D freestuff here and at Content Paradise (there is a bundle of 10 free scripts there, all really useful) Hes just recently given away "Copy Values" not had a chance to check it properly yet, But it looks like an enhanced version of "Copy Scaling"
