Subject: Is there any way to cancel a Background Render in PP2010?

TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Sun, 18 July 2010 at 3:45 PM · edited Mon, 05 August 2024 at 2:17 AM

I started a render in the background (VERY convenient feature which I love) but right after I started it,, I realised I'd forgotten to actually synchronize the VSS thing and without that, it does nothing L

Thing is.. Where uually the render progress bar is with a cancel button, there's no such thing when you render in background.

So.. now this was a little fast render but what if it'd been one of those that takes all night? IS there a way to cancel? I tried Escape... but that didn't work...

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Seriously, if you're on a PC, use the Task Manager to "Cancel" it. 😄

Top right of the render window - three icons- the left one should be a picture of a camera, which is usually the "render" button.  When rendering in the background it should have a red "X" on it - click this to cancel a render.

My self-build system - Vista 64 on a Kingston 240GB SSD, Asus P5Q Pro MB, Quad 6600 CPU, 8 Gb Geil Black Dragon Ram, CoolerMaster HAF932 full tower chassis, EVGA Geforce GTX 750Ti Superclocked 2 Gb, Coolermaster V8 CPU aircooler, Enermax 600W Modular PSU, 240Gb SSD, 2Tb HDD storage, 28" LCD monitor, and more red LEDs than a grown man really needs.....I built it in 2008 and can't afford a new one, yet.....!

My Software - Poser Pro 2012, Photoshop, Bryce 6 and Borderlands......"Catch a  r--i---d-----e-----!"
