Mark Bremmer has a (pay for) tutorial available (first few chapters are free):

And DAZ has one available from PhilC.

Also, there are several video tutorials on YouTube.

Plus, the manual itself, available within Carrara.

unfortunately, the c7pro manual (pdf file linked above) was not included on the 3dartist CD 017, nor was most of the content.  I would suggest learning c7pro by examining and rendering the presets (scenes).  almost nobody reads the manual, but that couldn't hurt, either.

What would you like to do in Carrara?  For example, do you want to model  furniture, buildings, cabins, fences, barns, castles create scenes etc. to put them in or convert your models to .objs and export them to Vue or Poser etc.  Jan

I like to do all those things, but I really most enjoy building models of structures and buildings and I like the challenge of texturing, lighting and putting them in a realistic environment. I find that Carrara has the tools to allow me to do that. I'm learning to animate scenes as well. I do most of my modeling in Wings; force of habit, but I also have Hexagon and Carrara is no slouch. I've produced a few models on request for folks using mostly other apps.
