Subject: Webhosting! Any recommendations?

Well for the last 3 yrs I've been with No Monthly Fees.com. Anyhow they sent a renewal notice for my website and the price for the year has gone from $70.00 up to $120.00. Anybody know of any cheaper alternatives. I don't use a great deal of Bandwith etc as it's just to host my pics and a few other details about me.

You could check out the NING mini account. It's less than $ 20 a year.

Good luck,

Safest way is to go for a large hosting business. They have the volume to be competitive with prices and should have the architecture and expertise to give you a good uptime, reliable back-ups, etc.

You could try Prime Hosting. They're based in the UK and I've been with them for a few years. Reasonably priced and really good support for things like PHP, CGI, Ruby, more than enough e-mail boxes etc included....and the control panel is dead easy to use.  I'm using the Premier Package (£4.95 per month) and have had no problems at all.  See attached link

It's not a sexy "you never heard of this one" but I've just always used Go Daddy for hosting (that's where I buy my .com's if I need them)

Basic hosting, $50 a year. so far, so great.

I've used WebHostingBuzz for years....$36 a year with bells and whistles.

Darn, To bad you hadn't checked a few months back before "NoMonthlyFees" changed up their pricelist. Last year I took the " $200 for a lifetime host" deal, all I pay there now is $20 a yaer for domain REG fee,

Good Luck Joe

I moved to http://www.webhostingpad.com/  a year ago , paid $2 a month  or $96 total for a 4 year sub, no limits in size, traffic etc. Support etc very good.
