Well you can always use a lot of little poser balls and apply a glass-like shader to them :)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
You can by EvilInnocence's Petal Storm and the addon called "Bubble Storm". Note.... you need "Petal Storm" in order for Bubble Storm to work.
Other addons for Petal Storm. I have most of them:
Snow Storm
Holly Storm
Candy Cane Storm
Ornament Storm
Leaf Storm
Confetti Storm

Someone on another forum suggested that, but I'm not sure my 5-year-old computer would like that -- or, at least, I might not like the render time. I'd need dozens of bubbles -- maybe hundreds.
:-)
Apparently, though, there are some bubbled on Renderosity scuba gear that didn't come up when I searched for bubbles...
I'm still open to other suggestions, though.

Emails must have crossed.
That looks interesting, though it's hard to tell since the thumbs are small and the larger pix aren't coming through on my machine. (Chrome? Or a problem with the site?)

Here is the renderosity link. I linked to EvilInnocence's site because they are cheaper there and they get 100% of the proceeds unlike here where they split profits. Plus I don't think Petal Storm is available here anymore.

EDIT: yes Petal Storm is available here. Here is the link:

Hmm, doesn't look like Bubble Storm requires the other to make it work. (Though it's late and my eyes are going.)

If the artist is a friend of yours, you should mention to him/her that sales are being lost if their personal site isn't fully functional. Missing images, etc, don't inspire confidence in buyers. (At least, not in this buyer.)
Thanks for the info!

Bubbles are one of the things I prefer to do in postwork. There's heaps of brush sets available. These are the ones I use most often. Highly recommended.

Sorry, I thought bubble storm required the base Petal Storm. Seems it doesn't.
Not a personal friend, but someone I know from here and have a high regard for his credibility. I'll send a PM to EvilInnocence directing him to this thread so he can see your comments about making the site more efficient.

Hey, thanks. I'll check that out.
Maybe my desire to do this without "post" is irrational.

Hey, as a freelance writer (and sometimes artist) I completely understand how tricky it is to keep one's site up to date and useful. The system to order my books and stories needs a complete overhaul (with a new shopping cart ability); thankfully, my work is also available on "more reliable" sites like Amazon.
And, for what it's worth, your friend's Bubble generator is currently my top prospect - unless I just do the work in post. Now if only it did splashes as well! (I'm thinking about some above-the-waves renders now, too.)

Thanks. That's one of my finalists, unless I just do it in post.

Free is good.
I think I found it.

I made a set of bubble brushes for Photoshop once. Since it has dropped off the marketplace ages ago, you can have it if you want. And providing I can find the original zip somewhere L
Just in case you decide to go the Postwork way :)

Thanks for the offer!
Going to try out a few things I picked up and see how they work, then make further decisions.
At the moment, though, have to stop doing art and get back to writing the story/stories that go with it.

Okay, the one I tried seems to make one bubble (tear drop) at a time. It looked nice, but I need a lot of bubbles.
Is that what you were doing, or is there something I've missed?
(The download said there were 2 versions, but I think I only found 1 set of props/figures in my runtime.)

Hey, thanks. Glad you liked it.
Still working on it. Replaced the background, as it's supposed to be more Carribean (the old one was giving digital trouble anyway), and put in a bunch of bubbles to render before going out this evening.
Little did I know they'd end up being the colors in the preview.
Guess I have to check the materials room or something, but do you know a fast & easy way? (I was hoping for MAT files in the Pose library....)
Again, thanks for the compliment and thanks for the advice.

Should have updated y'all. Using Bubblestorm worked out well on both my underwater covers. Here's the one I was working on:
And here's the link where I have the e-book published.
http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/25243
I've also used it on my other Umira cover -- for which I haven't actually written the story yet.
Ah, the strange life of the writer/artist!
Thanks for all your help.

You mean the e-book link? It's worked fine for me on 2 computers.
Maybe this more general one -- going to my Smashwords e-book page -- will help.

You can scroll down and find the "Monster Shark" story link there.

I need some underwater bubbles for a render -- the kind you'd get from a scuba-type situation.
I'm currently using a steam figure (Jepe's), but I'm not entirely satisfied.
I prefer to use a figure in Poser, rather than doing it in post in Photoshop, but...
At this point, I'll take any reasonable suggestions.
Thanks in advance!
