Does anybody know why i can't import 3ds models into bryce6 & up. Im running Bryce on a MAC. I have reinstalled several times. Have they taken support for 3ds out without telling us? .obj files import just fine.

Just made sure and tried importing a few various .3ds files with my B6.1, B6.3 and B7 with no problem. Yet, I am using a PC, just so ya know.

Yup - Intel Macs can't load .3ds. here's the Bugtracker link. Latest quote from dev manager DAZbfurner: "REOPENED, due to many people not having success with files."

SO in the meantime I guess use the slow painful method of running 3ds files into Carrara and out as objects. The objects load just fine!

Thanks for that reply Dan good to know its not just me going cuckoo here.

Just bought a complete lab set of Bryce 6, going to be a a mess training the students to incorporate this method for loading 3ds files, and yes the lab is all imac intels.
