i think you just have to tinker around with the sun position a bit, try it close to the horizon as you start to see the sky redden there?
A cleaved head no longer plots.

Hi.
Try with an atmosphere from the "Physical" collection. Those are atmospheres which should give you results similar to the real world. No need to change the volumetric color. The color of the clouds will be calculated depending on the position of the sun, as perilous7 said.
When the sun is low enough the clouds color will change. The lit parts will turn red/orange.
You can even make the look more dramatic by playing with the "Clouds Anisotropy" parameter in the "Cloud,Haze&Fog" tab. This will affect the outline of the clouds near the sun (will add a kind of glow effect).

Hi Bruno,
Looks like we`ve been posting simulaneously :-)

Hey guys
appreciate the fast replies very nice ;)
Ok here is my problem i CANNOT move the sun, this is for a game sky, and it has to be fixed sun and what not,
Shame i cant add a picture to show you, as it sconfidential, but its an issue ive been strugling with for a while now,
The problem i think I have is the camera, as its set to camera 1, and its about 300meters off the ground, but i got a horizon render, and the clouds closest to the sun DO have orange hue on them, but its not strong enough, as its a dusk scene the sun is very bright, and has alot of bleed coming from it , with a slight hint of red at the end of the bleed.,
I am using spectral mode with global illumination as the settings,I dont know enough in VUE to play with teh Edit material of the clouds etc, but i did use that to make the clouds brown and darker for a more sunset feel, as i said the sun cannot be moved.
Its cunnrelt at the Azimiuth of 53,55 now and a elevation of 10,11 .
Regarding the Clouds Anisotropy i have this set to 45 and its not doing very much,
I can take print screens of the settings i have of the skie if needed thanks again for reply
regards

Glac,
IMO A sun pitch of 10 ist too high for a dusk scene with strongly colored clouds. This is the way it is, in the real world and in Vue.
In order to get he effect you`re after the sun needs to have a lower pitch. Depends on the altitude of the cloud layer also.
The Anisotropy Effect is best seen if the sun is visible or almost visible in the scene.
Sorry can`t help you more on this.

Hi Dick! Yes, cross posted!
Glac, you can set cloud anisotropy much higher, up to the 90s'. If sun cannot be moved, you can try adding a red point light inside the cloud layer, and make it influence clouds (little cloud icon under the light's properties in the object properties panel), netx, in the light editor, make the light influence only the clouds, in the influence tab. You'll need a very high intensity ( like 1000) to see the effect. Don't make the light volumetric, or it will also colour the sky red.
hi Guys
Thanks again for fast reply ,
As i mentioned i cant move the sun, cus if the tracks light possition, and shadows etc, the sun has to be this high,, but I do understand it will be better if I move it lower down but this is not an option now, i managed to get something now I belive its what they want, so i think its all good, thanks again for all help, im sorry for stupid questions . im just trying to learn as much as i can =(

Hey
I got VUE 8 infi, and im having trouble with a dusk scene, im rendering , im getting the clouds to be dark as I want them , but the problem is the outline of the clouds, around them i want them to have a slight orange glow, but i cant seem to get this without killing the clouds colours, I have done a slight dark brown colour in the volumetric , but I have tried making this orange, but then the hole clouds go orange wich is not what i want.
Is there any other way to achive this ? , im not very experience with VUE, about 3 months now, but im eeger to learn more hope for quick feedback,
Regards
