And terrains are also very small (20meters square is small for a terrain, imho) too. You can check out sizes in the object properties panel, numerics tab. My Poser imports normally come in at the right scale, it's the scale of, Vue terrains that is not right. If you need bigger terrains, change the size in the numerics tab or directly in the viewport.
Quote - I've been tearing the hair out of my head trying to figure out how to solve this problem. I'm using Vue 8 Infinite, and the porportions of some objects are HUGE compared to the terrain. I can't figure out if the terrains are abnormally small, or if the objects are abnormally large. It seems to be happening mainly with Poser imports. This problem just recently appeared out of the blue, and I can't figure out what I must have done to cause it. Maybe I inadvertently changed a setting. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this and what I can do about it? thanks
Each iteration of Vue treats Poser objects differently. What I do with them (and objects from other apps that I import into Vue) is click on the Numerics tab at the top right of the GUI and then click the third icon down (Size) and then toggle "Lock sizing proportions" on. Then I type in the actual height of the object for Z. Done.
After that I usually drop the object to the terrain if it doesn't need to be in the air.

Thanks for the suggestions, as it turns out, something was corrupted in Vue, and the only way to fix the problem was to uninstall, then reinstall Vue. That solved the problem, the porportions make sense now, and the sizes of things aren't crazy and all over the place like they were previously. Weird way for an application to get corrupted. I don't know how to avoid corrupting Vue like that in the future, since I have no idea why it happened in the first place.
The problem may hit you again if you install one of the Vue updates. Next time it happens, show us your Options settings for Vue so we can tell you what they should be set back to. There are no defaults for them.
