Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 08 9:27 am)
You can do that without Python with a simple Ctrl-c on the camera and CTRL v on the camra you want to copy it to.
You're on a mac IIRC, so whatever is the Mac equivalent of Copy-paste will work. Select the camera, click on the Parameters tab for the camera in question, and copy that.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

The copy-paste won't work for face or posing cameras, because their parameters are relative to the figure, not relative to the universe.I've got one script that turns a Posing camera into a Dolly at approximately the same
location and angle. Should work on Mac because it doesn't have an interface.

and the dolly should go to queue without rendering the wrong poserr person shouldn't it?

This wouldn't work directly with any camera when I tried it on Poser 7 - maybe it's changed in later versions?
If you paste the settings into Notepad or similar, you can see that they include the camera name and hence will only apply to that camera. I did manage to "hack" it by search-and-replacing the camera name string before pasting back in. I was going from Aux to Main IIRC, or possibly vice-versa.
no the quoted method doesn't work in poser pro 2010 either.

Hm i was certain it used to work. Now I'm not so sure. Sorry about the misinformation. I'm pretty sure I've copied the settings on earlier occasions, perhaps by script then? I recently found out that my memory is even worse than I though...

I would like to know how to do this, as well, Often I want to keep a camera locked in position (say, the Front camera) and have access to another camera with the same properties.
The frustrating thing is that "Duplicate Front Camera" is in the menu when that camera is selected, but it's grayed out. You can create a new camera from the Object menu, but only dolly or rotating, not orthographic (such as Front).

say you have a nicely framed scene in the face camera and you want to see exactly the same thing but through the main camera (main camera works best for queue when there are more than one "people" in the scene)
