Don't know if it's being used by studios, but they were showing it at SIGGRAPH last month and it seems to do the work just fine.
There are a few videos on the website, actually. Don't know if you've looked for them enough. There's also a demo version around here you can play with before you buy (it's on the free stuff section, in the animation category, unless they've changed it).

thanks
I bought it right before the price went up (last June). Unfortunately, I also had to upgrade some hardware to use it. My upgrade is finished (for now) and I am ready to start experimenting. I also just bought Zign Track 2. I hate to keyframe but I don't mind tweeking. There are lots of tests on YouTube to watch. I was also at SIGGRAPH and had a chance to chat with the fellows there. I am really excited to get started. I will report back here and let you know how its working for me.

This new software on the Renderosity Store, iPi Desktop Motion Capture Standard Edition, selling for $900+ sounds real interesting. Previous to reading about this software, I have never heard of such a program being possible. does anyone know if Hollywood is using a similiar none-point type capture system. Just put a video on your desk top and using the software and a few other goodies as listed, capture most any action? Interesting. There is not however a single photo capture or video demo of the software in action. If any of you have any experience with this let me know please. I am real interested. I assume Renderosity has tried out this software? They certainly checked out my two little store items :)
