Thanks Laurie and Stacey, There is a link in my Signature to my E-Junkie store, but you are correct. My motivation was to hear discussion based on that link to the article I shared. It wasn't received that way however so I have abandoned the discussion. I don't need people like Macki telling me to leave Rendo if I want to ignore it simply because I mentioned Facebook having a working Ignore Feature when Rendo doesn't.
Matrix, I think you may have misunderstood Macki's post (unless he sent you an im)? The way I read what he posted on the forum, he's just saying that if there's something you don't want to see on Rendo like a post or a person you can just skip it, it meaning what you don't want to see like the post or the person, not rendo altogether.

I don't think I misunderstood that. But there's no point in making a big deal about it either. First off there is NO ignore feature here so if you don't like someone, you really can't just "click it away". I have one of those visual memories that captures and processes it all. I can skip threads started by people I know I'm going to disagree with, but I can't stop seeing their responses in threads I'm subscribed to already. The only other way to take what he said was to "Click the whole site away".
JenX just locked another thread saying she was going to beg the programmers for an Ignore User button. I say good luck to her because it's been requested here for years now, literally since 2001 when I first joined under a different screen name. If we had such a feature I could just block people instead of getting into arguments with them. Again, this is where social media is winning out because they're putting these features in and updating privacy features almost weekly these days.
Renderosity isn't a social network and it's becoming less and less like a community every day thanks to their slowness to respond to these issues. These are things that I wanted to discuss in that thread but instead it's turning into a bash the poster thread.
Correction: I meant to say "Renderosity IS a social network but it's becoming less and less like a community" in that last paragraph.
