Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 1:16 pm)
The renders seem a better quality between the two (just to me), plus in 2010 you can add created morphs through importing one obj instead of having to break them up and import them as individual body parts.
However, I really dislike the floating library...wish I could dock it.

Yeah, they act the same as they do in P8, which is normal.
I just really detest the floating library and wish I could dock it...lol.
Truth be told I do most of my work in P8 because of the library thing and switch to PPro when I have to. But it's strictly a personal thing.

I had the same question not too long ago.
I went with Poser Pro 2010 just for the full 64 bit capability.

Quote - The library permanently floats in PoserPro2010 on a 64bit system. If you have a 32bit system you can dock the library. Thumbnails are 91x91 but can be sized to many different sizes via an option in the library.

Almost right on the arrow. The list thumbnails have their own size in the "List" group. You pointed to the tree thumbnail size.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
I stuck with P7 for ages because it was stable and reliable.
PP2010 has taken over from P7 for exactly that reason, plus all the bells and whistles my current system can't handle, but when I get my new system, it will. This is one of those must-haves... lots of reasons to get this!
BTW, I have P8 as well... the renderer GC and other material management stuff makes PP2010 stand out significantly.

Pro 2010 all tha way :) I love the floating library, good job cos I'm running 64bit. I means I can put it on my second monitor and have more space for posering.
All I do these days is content creation, I would not be without 2010. Flipping between runtimes is a breeze, when saving a cr2 it seems to automaticaly create a seperate geomotry file (though not in the geomotry folder). And of course the 64bitness, with my 6gb or RAM has it zipping along like Usain Bolt.

My computer can handle both...which is better though for rendering and content creation in your honest opinion and why ?
