Subject: How to convert my object into poser format?

2dfxman ( ) posted Tue, 31 August 2010 at 9:43 PM · edited Sun, 02 February 2025 at 11:42 AM

Ok I made a model, exported it as obj, imported into poser. Going good so far. But when I add it to library, instead of referencing my obj it dumps everything into pp2 file thus making it really big.
All other products I've seen reference objs, so how do I do that?

Is there a guide on doing these stuff to create a complete product usable in poser?

You can edit out the geometry in the prop file and replace it with a reference line to the obj file.

There is a utility in freestuff named I think geomstripper that does it for you.

PFEditor by D3D does this very nicely too, and a qhole lot more: worth every penny.
