Well, the supposed, and here I'm speaking generally, was supposedly July, but challenges here are pretty open as far as deadlines are concerned... This is the primitives challenge... And yes, that's why I was saying perhaps we should all repost on this thread here the one picture were entering into the challenge for ease of voting...
Hey Paul, THANK YOU, and I DO mean that!!!! I'm still having trouble with a few things in my PC, but this time it's in dealing with Norton, and the latest Zone Alarm. I'm trying to set myself up so that my tragedy from last week doesn't wipe away 6 months worth of work if it ever happens again. But I do greatly appreciate your work here, so thanks. :) Seeing all these here again, it's really hard to decide on one right now. How about we give it until the end of the week so everyone has a chance to see what's going on, and have the deadline for votes on Friday, choose a winner, and then let him/her name the next VC? Unfortunately, August we'll be cut short though.....
I know these pictures are all outstanding, but I still have to fix my jaw from seeing guitta's picture the first time... so here goes my vote : guitta
I HATE having to cast a vote, because they're all good! (except mine, which was just a quickie, and not even made with Vue, LOL!) I'm going to vote for Paul (tradivoro), because of the ingenious use of the geometrical shapes as carefully-sculptured shrubs. I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that before.
Yeah, Mike disqualified himself from the start, having used Rhino instead of Vue primitives. :) I didn't realize that the main challenge items were going to be voted on, I thought it was just the sub-challenge theme stuff going through votes. Eh, I'll try to pay more attention next time. Anyway, having been confused about it, I'm withdrawing my images above from this competition. They were only meant as examples of what can be done using Vue primitives. :)
oops, fogot to vote. I vote AspirantNemo, Tradivoro and Guitta for complexity and detail. I also vote Wibbleman for the whimsical organic modeling, and also JP, Martin and Axe for really creating a sense of mood. I think everyone who gave this challenge a try, either this month or whenever they get to it, is a winner already. :)
Well, inasmuch as yes there are a lot of pictures here that are great, one has to vote for one... My two favorites are guitta's picture for the challenge and aspirantnemo's... But conceptually I have to vote for Guitta... that whole concept of making a small town and showing it as a postcard is unique and very ingenious... As my second choice, I would say, aspirantnemo, amazingly great use of terrains, and great modeling and detail...
OK, tomorrow I'll make a new thread pointing to this one, and ask for everyone who hasn't voted, or maybe missed this thread to do so before Saturday, whatever that is, time zone-wise to everyone, then over the weekend the winner can name the next challenge, and hopefully we can sort of be back on schedule for the rest of August.

I know this seems sort of a sloppy way of doing it, and with this new month's Vue Challenge, we'll have just one thread with submissions of pictures in it, or better yet, a thread with links to the VC entries, whereveer they may be (preferably in the gallery). So, if you can think of whose you liked most, please vote HERE in THIS thread. This month is going to be kind of screwy for me, and it didn't start out too well. We'll have a few days to vote, and I'll see if I can round up the threads which had VC submittals in them, to make it easier..... Sorry again, and I promise, next month will be a little better organized. :)
