Subject: Exporting hybrid clothing from Poser to Carrara?

DocMatter ( ) posted Fri, 03 September 2010 at 11:14 PM · edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 3:05 PM

I've been exporting dynamic clothing poses and morphs from Poser into Carrara for awhile thanks to a tut I read here awhile back.  But now I've figured out how to use and create hybrid clothing in Poser (conforming clothing that has parts that are dynamic) but can't figure out how to export them into Carrara.  When I spawn a morph target for the dynamic part (which is the normal way to export dynamic clothing), the clothing  goes all funky and never returns to its "dynamically animated" pose.
Has anyone been able to successfully export hybrid clothing from Poser into Carrara?
Thanks!

another similar question, I use the dyn to morph script quite successfully on animated clothing and props but it won't work on selected materials of conforming clothes, say a skirt, is there anyway to export the animated simulation as I nearly always render animations in Carrara, as firefly with very basic settings is the only way I can otherwise do an animation within a reasonable timeframe, the only other alternative being making the whole clothing item a prop but then it doesn't simulate as well or as quickly.
