Subject: Joint controlled Morphs and v4?

Terrymcg ( ) posted Wed, 22 September 2010 at 7:16 PM · edited Thu, 05 September 2024 at 1:38 AM

Well simply put;  How do I create joint controlled morphs for clothing that I made for Vicky 4?
The clothing that I created (a shirt) bends nicely when conformed to V4, except for the elbows. The elbows stick out of the shirt when ever I bend Vicky's forearms.  I made some "fix morphs" with Poser 7 morphs brush, but those morphs are not very good or even identical ( the fix morph on left elbow differs from the right elbow).  (And yes I have used the "magnetize pose". I am not a complete moron. Just an average moron)

Is there something I should keep in mind while making joint fix morphs, or making clothing and how do the professional modelers deal with joint controlled morphs? Any  tips would be greatly appreciated.

D'oh! Why do things that happen to stupid people keep happening to me?

I'm not clear on whether you are asking how to make the morphs joint controlled, or how to make the morphs symmetric with respect to the left and right side of the figure.

Never  mind then. Moderators please lock this thread.

Is your cloth a symmetrical figure? Then maybe I can help.

I was really interested in the answer.

The clothing itself is a  symmetrical figure. The poke-through fix morphs that I made with Poser 7 morph brush are a-symmetrical and not very good.

I programmed a morph symmetrizer, but it only can work on meshes that have perfectly symmetrically structured mesh. Also, so that it can work, the rigging must be symmetrical.
If you think your figure meets these requirements you can drop me a mail to mail at colorcurvature.com.
